I decided to open Emily's Closet , in response to the closure of both the Hancock store and the Walmart fabric department. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper when I ended up driving about twenty-five miles just to buy interfacing and buttons!
We are the only fabric store in Louisiana's Iberia Parish, offering a cozy shopping environment and great selection of fabric, notions and homemade treasures. I make quilts to showcase the fabrics I sell, and these quilts are available for sale at the store.
I love working in an industry that lets me indulge my passion for sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting and embroidery and enjoy sharing my passion with those I serve. Our customers often drop in for a cup of coffee and a friendly visit, and occasionally, they're treated to home-baked goods (yes, I bake too!).
