About
Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Teche is a Catholic Community of believers united in Christ and called to worship God in an intimate relationship with Christ and His Church. We strive to live the example given to us by Christ and to glorify God through prayerful celebration of the Eucharist. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we work to build the Kingdom of God and spread the Good News of salvation, not only to our own parish, but also to the world behond our area. We seek to build our parish by emphasizing stewardship as a way of life and by encouraging active participation in parish organizations. With devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and His Mother, we go forth to witness with compassion in God's loving presence in our world.
